Listening to Peter's story really drives home how isolated and demeaned he must have felt back then ...... he epitomises every parents greatest fear, the loss of a child. Alana's death in these tragic circumstances served to isolate and frustrate Peter and the family. It seems that the very people who should have investigated Alana's death took the view that her life was worth less than others. I would hope that the police act on the law and not the 'lore' of a society that prejudiced drug use....really the police's half- hearted actions compounded the pain for Peter and the family.
I hope Peter and the all of Alana's family find answers and achieve some kind of peace for their souls. I really feel for them, and may Alana rest in peace.
